As you enter the Playground theatre, it is evident that Theatre Lab Company’s production of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations is a seriously stylish production. You are greeted by an intricate, visually fascinating tableau beautifully designed by Eirini Kariori, with motionless actors in equally striking costumes by Kariori and Vivien Wilson.

Adroitly adapted by Lydia Vie who has skilfully created a pacy telling of the Dickens’ classic. Director Anastasia Revi has beautifully realised a production that is full of a myriad of intriguingly nuanced performances, She breathes gorgeous life into all the classic characters…whilst maintaining a fresh vibrancy. She is also working with an ensemble on top form and clearly enjoying the joys of an unquestionably vibrant creative process and team.
