WORKSHOP FOR ACTORS WITH ANASTASIA REVI

Theatre Lab Company has the reputation for ‘magic, mesmerising and visually stunning shows that look like films where everything is moving’. Productions that are vibrant, different and highly aesthetic are based on a series of techniques and methods that derive from imagination, physicality, precision, vocal range, clarity and emotional flexibility. These are special qualities that empower the actor as a world maker.

This 5-hour workshop will explore the following:
Music and internal rhythm; Narration (world known stories, legends and tales) through body and speech; Pushing the imagination/ realisation of imaginary stories; Trust; Magnifying the detail;Characters of another body, another era, another language; Elements of Nature; Famous paintings; Objects carrying life; Different ages of narration.

Cost: £75, non-returnable £40 deposit to be paid on booking. The outstanding £35 should be paid on arrival at the workshop on Saturday, 13th January.

Workshop Leader

ANASTASIA REVI is the Artistic Director of the award-winning Theatre Lab Company. She has been highly praised and recognised for her work and dedication to culture and had the honour to be nominated for the Greek International Women Awards 2017 and Woman of the
Year Award of Greece 2018. Her company has received an OFFCOMM Commendation 2019, and Most Innovative International Theatre Production Company, UK at the 2018 Global Entertainment Awards. Anastasia has directed a vast number of theatre productions in London, Greece and abroad. She collaborates with Praxis Theatre Group of Oxford University, has worked as a workshop facilitator, radio producer, interpreter, translator of theatre plays and literature, and as a producer of theatre festivals. She has a degree in English and American Literature, a degree in 3-year Classical Acting (National Theatre of Northern Greece) and has studied at London Theatre Conservatory and École Philippe Gaulier. She has expanded her studies through travelling around the world, meeting great masters of theatre.
