The theme ‘Young Heroes’ was a springboard for challenging some of the negative views held about young people, and to promote understanding between generations and one learning from the other. Theatre workshops for young adults, parents and other adult members of the community explored the theme ‘Young Heroes’ as portrayed in drama, literature and poetry. Dramatic text was used to explore all dimensions of humanity: emotions, insanity, good and evil, e.g. Shakespeare’s King Lear, the ancient Greek dramas.
